Texturing Hammers

When texturing metals with hammers, the surface texture of the hardened steel of the hammer is transferred to the softer metal (often silver, gold, copper, or brass). A few samples are shown in the adjacent image, but the textures can be further varied by how hard the metals are struck and the density or position of the strikes.
